May Day Fayre

This is a traditional time for people to gather and celebrate the fertility of the Earth. May Pole dancing and fertility rites are old customs of this country and are still celebrated around the country to this day.

This May Day Fayre will be held on 1st May and will be a day of light-hearted fun for all the family to enjoy. The Fayre will include:

• A marketplace for craft work, artists, therapists and holistic suppliers
• Demonstrations by local craft workers
• Performances by local musicians
• Tarot readers
• Talks on a range of holistic subjects
• Children’s activities
• May Pole dancing
• Homemade Food and beverages

If you or someone you know is interested in promoting their work this will be a great opportunity to network and we are offering spaces to anyone who wishes to participate. You will need to bring your own awning, table and chair.

We are holding this May Day fayre to raise funds for The Roundhouse Project that we are planning to build using techniques emplyed during the Bronze Age. Completion of this project will take some time as the cost of such a building is quite high. Click here for more information>>

The roundhouse will be a joint project between the Thame women's group and Gaea’s 13 Moons group to celebrate the divinity of the Earth and the Godess. Once complete it will be available for anyone to use in order to feel the love of the Mother energy – it is not intended to be limited to members of the two groups, or indeed women.
