In an altered state of consciousness a shaman will bridge the worlds of existence to retrieve information, to heal or help the community. Shamanic journeying strengthens our connection to nature so that we can find harmony in our lives and the landscape around us. Shamanic ReikiA Reiki treatment consists of the practitioner channelling and focusing Universal Life Force to bring about balance in the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of the recipient. Initially the Reiki is directed towards the energy centres of the recipient but more experienced practitioners usually work more intuitively, channelling the energy to where it is needed. In Shamanic healing it is recognised that all things which exist in our realm have a spirit reality which can be accessed in other realms. The shaman seeks and communicates with the spirit reality that is causing imbalance, then uses a variety of methods to bring about positive change. It might appear that these two methods are so different that there would be little opportunity to combine them. In fact there is great potential for such an approach, which can be much more effective for the recipient and a great asset to our own understanding of what is happening during a treatment. Indeed many experienced Reiki practitioners are already successfully utilising some degree of Shamanic practice, perhaps without even being aware of it. Indeed Reiki and Shamanic practice are, for many who work with both, so strongly linked that one does not exist without the other. Between us we have travelled on our respective spiritual paths for nearly 30 years. During recent years we have recognised that the ability to learn and integrate concepts and techniques is speeding up. We believe that sharing some of the techniques that we have learned or been inspired to use during our own journeys, may further enhance the practice of each of you who joins us on this amazing experiential class. In order to join this workshop it is essential that you have achieved Reiki Level II and also attended a comprehensive Shamanic Journeying class. You should be experienced in working with power animals, have journeyed to the upper, middle and underworlds and able to journey by at least two different methods. You will receive a certificate of competency in Shamanic Reiki upon completion of the course. |
