Shiatsu WorkshopTouch is a basic human need, and most of us simply don’t get enough caring, compassionate physical contact; and Shiatsu itself is a very special type of touch. It fuses the ancient oriental understanding of the human body-mind and our place in nature with techniques which allow us to work directly with the Receiver’s vital energy (Qi) and physical touch, which may be feather-light or very deep. One of the features that makes Shiatsu immediately distinguishable from massage is that the Receiver remains fully clothed. This, of course, makes the whole thing very convenient and, for those wanting to practice as amateurs, quite relaxed. Essentially practical, this workshop will give you the opportunity to learn some Shiatsu ‘basics’ and to both give and receive Shiatsu. Whether you are a complete beginner or already have some prior experience, you will find the day nurturing, useful and a lot of fun! You’ll also gain knowledge and skills that will enable you to practice on family members and friends. |
