Beryl Malem

Beryl grew up in Hertfordshire. She is the mother of five grown-up children and has seven grandchildren. She was foster mother to a number of children from Nigeria and Tibet.

When her children were older and she had some spare time she took up a career in teaching, choosing to go out to traveller sites and teach the children there – offering them the opportunity for some education that they might not have otherwise received.

When Beryl retired she went on a course that she thought was about ancient monuments but was in fact about dowsing! She has subsequently done a number of courses on dowsing with well-known and respected teachers and in 2006 she took part in the first dowsing tutors course run by the British Dowsing Association. In 2000 she decided to learn to practice Reiki and went on to become a Reiki Master Teacher. She has since studied several other energy healing systems and continues her own learning.

Beryl is a teacher who takes an experiential yet practical approach to her teaching – she is patient and can offer her skills to those who are novices as well those with some experience. She has taught dowsing and healing with pendulums and is an excellent yet modest teacher who gets wonderful feedback from her students.
