Introduction to WiccaDo you have an inquisitive mind? Do you have a yearning to ‘get back to nature’? Have you been searching for the right path? As soon as I found Wicca, 16 years ago, I just knew that I had come home. This may sound a little ‘corny’ now, but it is true. Although I was a little apprehensive at first, as you maybe too; we have all heard the words, Witch and Witchcraft used in a derogatory way; but what I actually discovered was a wonderful, peaceful, nature based way of life. It was morally everything my Christian Mother and Grandmother had taught me, but without restrictions! Just perfect for me! There is no one way of practicing Wicca, no hierarchy, no set of scriptures to follow, and really there is only one rule; yes just one, but I’m sure if the whole world followed just that one rule, it would be a far better place: ‘An ye Harm none, do as thy wilt’ Simple, to the point, and its all that is needed, the full meaning of this we will cover in the workshops, but for now, it is food for thought! On this journey it is you who decides how to practice your sacred path, where you honour your deities, what you wear, what you say…there is no wrong way, and living in harmony with nature...well what can I say, it is truly a wonderful experience of self discovery and development. If you choose to join me in exploring the Craft, I assure you all a safe, unique and enjoyable ten weeks. At the end of the course, as always, you are the master of your own destiny and it is you who decides whether to continue your journey along the Wiccan Path. Each evening will look at a particular aspect: Background; Beliefs; Days for celebration; Getting started; Circle casting; Cleansing & consecrating; Coven or solitary? Divination; Spells & Ritual. |
